Satisfied Customer Spotlight: Ten Hove Kindermode
In Rijssen, you’ll find one of the most renowned children’s clothing stores in Eastern Netherlands: Ten Hove Kindermode. This charming store is housed in a picturesque building with beautiful awnings over the windows. As soon as you step inside, you'll find a wide range of products, from baby clothes to teen apparel, across various price ranges.
Multiple Sales Channels
“The store has been around since 2007 and has grown significantly since then. In 2018, we moved to this location, which provides us with enough space to welcome customers who often come from far outside Rijssen,” says owner Regina ten Hove. “We also sell on Bol.com (red. A Dutch online marketplace.), through our social media channels, and have an online webshop. Thanks to StoreKeeper, we can successfully manage all these sales channels.”
Custom Integration with BESTSELLER
Regina is very pleased with StoreKeeper. “The software is modern, has a great layout, and is continuously evolving. It’s also very user-friendly, both for me and for the staff. When I have a request, StoreKeeper’s team always looks into it to see if they can accommodate it. The communication is very direct. This is how the integration with BESTSELLER came about. This integration allows our sales and inventory data to be automatically shared with BESTSELLER, saving us from time-consuming administrative tasks. For example, when a pair of pants is sold in the store, it's immediately reflected in the software. Every Monday, I review the sales from the past week in StoreKeeper and place orders accordingly. Conversely, BESTSELLER can notify us if an item is running low. This ensures we’re never out of stock. Very convenient for our customers.”
Order Requests and Payments via StoreKeeper Payments
Regina is active on Facebook and Instagram, posting items weekly. Followers can call the store to reserve these items. “Before StoreKeeper, this was quite informal. We would hold the item for the customer and wait for them to pick it up, risking the chance that the customer might not show up, leaving us with an item taken out of the store for no reason. Now, we use StoreKeeper’s order request feature. Over the phone, we collect the customer’s name and email address. The customer then receives an email about the reservation and can finalize the order and potentially pay online. Thanks to StoreKeeper Payments, customers have various payment options, including the ability to use the Fashioncheque. We receive the payment in our account the next day.”
Continuing Sales on Bol.com
Another sales channel for Ten Hove Kindermode is Bol.com. Here, Regina sells not her regular inventory but items like sunglasses, toys, and Marvel and Pokémon shirts. “I considered stopping this because it was too cumbersome. Bol.com has strict delivery requirements. With the previous integration, not built by StoreKeeper, the inventory was synced overnight. If we sold something during the day, our inventory would be incorrect. StoreKeeper developed a new integration that syncs in real-time, allowing me to continue selling on Bol.com without the hassle.”
QR Code Payments and More
Regina lists a few more advantages of StoreKeeper. “In case of a pin machine malfunction, customers can still pay via a QR code. After scanning the code, the customer is directed to an iDEAL checkout page showing the correct item and price. After payment, the item is automatically marked as paid in the software. The reports in the software are also very comprehensive and user-friendly. In many other POS systems, these reports are hard to read. The filter menu is very convenient as well; for example, I can select item groups for sale with just a few clicks. StoreKeeper ensures our store runs smoothly and that my colleagues and I can perform our tasks easily and efficiently. Highly recommended!”
