Case studies: La Lau Conceptstore

Since 2023, La Lau has been a standout shop on Oldenzaal. This vibrant concept store offers products that are often unique and hard to find elsewhere. The one-of-a-kind store is run by the enthusiastic Laury van der Zande and her team of 10 employees. “I deliberately started a concept store because it gives me the flexibility to sell all the interesting things I come across. For instance, you can find perfumes, skincare products, jewelry, travel items, and home accessories in the store. I’m always actively searching for new brands and products. It's rare that I turn on Netflix in the evening. Additionally, representatives frequently visit us. Because I have a strong presence on social media, more and more great brands, like Marie Stella Maris and Olcay Gulsen Beauty, want to collaborate with me.”

Hundreds of Sales Per Day via Social Media

La Lau has over 34,000 followers on Facebook and more than 110,000 on Instagram, with those numbers growing daily on both platforms. “I sell a lot through social media, around 100 packages are shipped out daily. Thanks to StoreKeeper, this online sales process runs smoothly. People can message or call us, and we collect their name and email address. It takes us just 30 seconds to process an order. The software then handles the rest. Customers automatically receive an order confirmation email and can pay immediately with StoreKeeper Payments. Once the payment is completed, we get a notification and can prepare the package. StoreKeeper also integrates with our postal service MSG. Time Savings from Switching from Receipt Books to StoreKeeper

Laury is also very satisfied with StoreKeeper’s POS system. “I initially worked with receipt books, but I quickly switched to StoreKeeper. The system is fast and incredibly easy to use. Literally anyone can work with it. We select on the iPad whether the customer wants to pay by card or cash, then the payment is processed on the mobile pin device, and a receipt is printed. The system saves me a lot of time compared to receipt books. Previously, I had to manually tally all receipts at the end of the day to calculate that day's revenue. With StoreKeeper, the total daily revenue, individual sales by employee, and store versus online sales results are available at the push of a button. My accountant also has his own login, so he can immediately see my cash and card sales and which packages I’ve sent out. This eliminates a lot of administrative hassle.”

New: The La Lau Webshop

Soon, La Lau’s webshop, developed by StoreKeeper, will go live. “Sales via social media are going very well and require minimal time from me, which I prefer. I will continue to sell unique items exclusively in-store and via social media. However, an online store is open in the evening and serves as a 24/7 sales channel for products I always keep in stock, like perfumes and makeup. StoreKeeper has designed a beautiful setup, and the webshop looks great. Of course, the online shop will be linked to the in-store system. I’m excited to see what it will yield!”
