Satisfied customer speaks: Ten Hove Children’s Fashion

On Grotestraat in Rijssen, you’ll find one of the best-known children’s clothing stores in Eastern Netherlands: Ten Hove Children’s Fashion. This charming shop is located in a cozy building with beautiful awnings over the windows. Step inside, and you’ll browse a wide range of clothing from baby to teen in all price ranges.

Multiple sales channels

The store has been around since 2007 and has grown significantly since then. In 2018, we moved to this building, which gives us enough space to welcome our customers, many of whom come from far outside Rijssen,” says owner Regina ten Hove. “We also sell on Bol.com, through our social channels, and via our webshop. Thanks to StoreKeeper, we can successfully manage all these sales channels.

A custom integration with BESTSELLER

Regina is very satisfied with StoreKeeper. “The software is modern, has a nice layout, and is continuously being developed. It’s also very user friendly, both for me and for the store staff. And if I have a request, the StoreKeeper team always checks if it can be implemented the lines of communication are short. That’s how the integration with BESTSELLER came about. Through this connection, our sales and inventory data are automatically shared with BESTSELLER, saving time on administration. For example, if a pair of pants is sold in the store, it’s immediately visible in the software. Every Monday, I review the previous week’s sales in StoreKeeper and place new orders. Conversely, BESTSELLER can notify us when an item is almost out of stock. This way, we’re never out of stock very convenient for our customers.

Order request and payment via StoreKeeper Payments

Regina is active on Facebook and Instagram and posts items weekly. Followers can call the store to reserve these items. “Before StoreKeeper, this was very informal. We would set the item aside for the customer and wait for them to pick it up. Of course, there was a risk that the customer wouldn’t show up, and we would have removed the item from the store for nothing. Now we use StoreKeeper’s order request feature. Over the phone, we ask for the customer’s name and email address. The customer then receives an email about the reservation and can complete the order and even pay online immediately. With StoreKeeper Payments, the customer has multiple payment options even the Fashioncheque can be redeemed. And we have the money in our account the next day.

Still selling via Bol.com

Another sales channel for Ten Hove Children’s Fashion is Bol.com. Here, Regina doesn’t sell her regular assortment, but items such as sunglasses, toys, and Marvel and Pokémon shirts. “I considered stopping for a while because it was too much hassle. Bol.com is very strict with delivery requirements. With the previous integration not built by StoreKeeper the inventory was always synced overnight. So if we sold something during the day, our stock was incorrect. StoreKeeper built a new integration that syncs in real-time. This allows me to continue selling on Bol.com without any hassle.

Pay with QR code and more

With ease, Regina lists a few more advantages of StoreKeeper. “If the card terminal is down, customers can still pay with us, using a QR code. After scanning the code, the customer is taken to an iDEAL payment page showing the correct item and price. Once the payment is completed, the item is automatically marked as paid in the software. The reporting features in the software are also very extensive and user-friendly. In many other POS systems, reports are difficult to read. The filter menu is very convenient too for example, I can select product groups for a sale in just a few clicks. StoreKeeper ensures that our store always runs smoothly and that my colleagues and I can work easily and efficiently. Highly recommended!
