Satisfied customer speaks: Ten Hove Children’s Fashion
On Grotestraat in Rijssen, you’ll find one of the best-known children’s clothing stores in the east of the Netherlands: Ten Hove Children’s Fashion. This cozy shop is located in a charming building with beautiful awnings in front of the windows. And once you step inside, you can browse a wide range of products — from baby clothes to teen fashion — in various price ranges.
Multiple sales channels
The store has been around since 2007 and has grown significantly over the years. In 2018, we moved to this building. Here, we have enough space to welcome our customers, who often come from far outside Rijssen,” says owner Regina ten Hove.
“We also sell on Bol.com and through our social channels, and we have a webshop. Thanks to StoreKeeper, we can successfully use all of these sales channels.
A custom integration with BESTSELLER
Regina is therefore very satisfied with StoreKeeper. “The software is modern, has a beautiful layout, and is continuously evolving. It’s also very user-friendly, both for me and for the store staff. And if I have a request, the StoreKeeper team always looks into whether they can do something with it — communication lines are short.
That’s also how the integration with BESTSELLER came about. Thanks to this integration, our sales and inventory data are automatically shared with BESTSELLER. This saves a lot of time-consuming administration. For example, when a pair of pants is sold in the store, it’s immediately visible in the software. Every Monday, I review the previous week’s sales in StoreKeeper and place new orders.
Conversely, BESTSELLER can notify us when an item is almost out of stock. This way, we’re never out of stock — which is very pleasant for customers.
Order requests and payments via StoreKeeper Payments
Regina is active on Facebook and Instagram, where she posts items every week. Followers can call the store to reserve these items. “Before StoreKeeper, this was very informal. We would set the item aside for the customer and wait for them to come and pick it up. Of course, we ran the risk that a customer wouldn’t show up and that we had taken the item off the shop floor for nothing.
Now we work with StoreKeeper’s order request feature. On the phone, we ask for the customer’s name and email address. The customer then receives an email about the reservation and can complete the order and, if desired, pay online immediately. Thanks to StoreKeeper Payments, the customer has several payment options — even Fashioncheque can be used. And we receive the money in our account the very next day.
Still selling via Bol.com
Another sales channel for Ten Hove Children’s Fashion is Bol.com. Regina doesn’t sell her regular assortment there, but items such as sunglasses, toys, and Marvel and Pokémon T-shirts.
“I considered stopping for a while because it was too much hassle. Bol.com is very strict when it comes to delivery requirements. With the previous integration — which was not built by StoreKeeper — inventory was only synchronized at night. So if we sold something during the day, our stock levels were no longer accurate. That’s why StoreKeeper built a new integration that does sync in real time. This allows me to continue selling on Bol.com, without all the hassle.
Paying with QR code and more
Regina easily lists a few more advantages of StoreKeeper. “If there’s a card payment outage, customers can still pay with us — via a QR code. After scanning the code, the customer is taken to an iDEAL checkout page that shows the correct product and the correct price. Once the payment is completed, the product is automatically marked as paid in the software.
The reports in the software are also very extensive and user-friendly. In many other POS systems, those reports are very difficult to read. And the filter menu is very convenient. For example, I can select product groups that need to go on sale with just a few clicks.
So StoreKeeper ensures that our store always keeps running and that my colleagues and I can do our work easily and efficiently. Highly recommended!
